Each one, Plant One, Save One Tree
New Delhi:On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society( MATES) took initiative to celebrate it in a different way. All the 6000 students, Faculty and staff members including Trustees took pledge to protect and celebrate - Paryavaran Rakha Parv, Rashtra Raksha Parv, Swabhiman Raksha Parv, Naari Samman Raksha Parv etc.The series of this year long Raksha Parv started with Paryavaran Rakha Parv on 8th August, 2017. Mr. Manoj Tiwari, MP Lok Sabha, film actor and singer and Ms. Divya Khosla Kumar film actress, singer, producer, director inaugurated the massive plantation drive for a green campus and planted plants. 
Dr. Nand Kishore​ Garg, Chancellor, Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi & Founder Chairman MATES  said in his address that we took this initiative to make this society a better place to live and inculcate the values of protecting the environment & society in youth and also we need to play our role in bringing about the change in society. Mr. Manoj Tiwari said that he is elated to be part of this program as it's high time we something about alarming condition of the environment.Speaking on the Ms. Divya Khosla Kumar said she happy to be part of such a intiative as it's a need of the hour to save environment and it's time do our bit.

The occasion also saw the gracious presence of Sh. Prem Sagar Goel, Chairman,  MATES, Sh. Jagdish Mittal, Sh. Mohan Garg,  Sh.Gayanedra Srivastava,   Prof. M.L. Goel, DG, MAIT, Dr. Neelam Sharma, Director, MAIT, Prof. M.K. Bhat, Director, MAIMS, Mr. Arvind Khosla and Mrs. Khosla (Ms. Divya Khosla Kumar's Parents) along with other dignitaries and officials.
